CMA CGM applies port congestion surcharge in Gambia

Due to the current congestion in Banjul, Gambia, French container carrier CMA CGM has announced a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS).

The surcharge will take effect on 15 August 2024 and 1 September 2024 for shipments from the United States and Latin American countries.

The PCS will apply to cargo destined for Gambia. The surcharge will be US$500 / €460 / GB£385 per TEU.
