Moller &#8211; Maersk has inaugurated a new 11,450 m\u00b2 (123,000 ft\u00b2) air freight gateway near Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (ATL) in Georgia, US.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new gateway offers direct planeside recovery with immediate unit load device (ULD) transfers to the new facility, according to Maersk&#8217;s announcement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our Atlanta facility enhances our offering, providing customers with superior supply chain flexibility supported by our expanded regional capabilities in warehousing and transportation. We will be able to leverage this connectivity to bolster our air freight network across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the world,\u201d commented John Wetherell, Maersk&#8217;s regional head of air freight in North America.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-99975 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Atlanta-Advantage-Logistics-e1690340754361.jpg\" alt=\"Atlanta + advantage\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Atlanta-Advantage-Logistics-e1690340754361.jpg 600w, https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Atlanta-Advantage-Logistics-e1690340754361-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Located in Atlanta Tradeport&#8217;s Foreign Trade Zone, the new air cargo facility offers lower duties, reduced processing fees, and quicker movement of goods from the port of Savannah, noted the Danish company.<\/p>\n<p>The site is located just two miles from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and has direct access to interstates I-75 and I-285.<\/p>\n<p>The facility is in close proximity to access commercial carrier capacity. The site will act as a forward staging facility for Maersk&#8217;s Greenville, South Carolina own controlled flight operations \u2013 from which the company operates five B74F return Maersk flights per week to Hahn, Germany, and two B76F flights per week to Shenyang, China, with onward connection to Seoul, South Korea.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-99971 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/maersk-air-cargo-advantage-logistics-e1690340806373.jpg\" alt=\"maerskaircargo\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/maersk-air-cargo-advantage-logistics-e1690340806373.jpg 600w, https:\/\/advantage.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/maersk-air-cargo-advantage-logistics-e1690340806373-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new facility has 39 dock doors, two oversized drive-up ramps, and is a Bonded Container Freight Station (CFS) with US Customs.
