The agreement was signed this past October 19, 2025, by Singapore&#8217;s Acting Minister for Transport, Mr. Jeffrey Siow, and China&#8217;s Minister of Transport, Mr. Liu Wei, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>This MoU elevates the partnership to a national level, following previous city- and provincial-level initiatives with Tianjin and Shandong, which were launched in 2023 and 2024, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Under this new framework, both countries will collaborate with industry stakeholders to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote the decarbonization of the maritime industry.<\/li>\n<li>Improve port and supply chain efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Develop supporting technologies, infrastructure, and standards to encourage sustainability and
